Trip to Allen Fieldhouse on deck for struggling CU Buffs men's basketball

Still searching for its first win of 2025, the last-place Colorado men's basketball team will visit historic Allen Fieldhouse on Tuesday to battle the Kansas Jayhawks.

Kansas began this season ranked No. 1 in the preseason USA TODAY Sports Men's Basketball Coaches Poll but has proven beatable in Big 12 play. After falling to rival Kansas State on Saturday, the now-No. 20 Jayhawks are 7-5 in conference games (16-7 overall).

Meanwhile, Colorado stands 9-14 overall (0-12 Big 12) after falling to Houston on Saturday. Point guard Julian Hammond III scored 22 points against the Cougars to keep things close, but the Buffs once again struggled in crunch time.

Heading into Tuesday, Hammond leads the Buffs with 13.7 points per game while Kansas' offense revolves around 7-foot-2 center Hunter Dickinson (16.5 PPG) and guard Zeke Mayo (15.1 PPG).

Tipoff at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence is set for 7 p.m. MT on ESPN2.
