NFL legend Michael Vick will begin his collegiate coaching career at Norfolk State on Thursday, starting the 2025 season with a matchup against Towson.
Vick, who is originally from Newport News, Va., has never coached at the college level, though he did spend time as a coaching intern with the Chiefs in 2017. He was hired as the offensive coordinator of the Atlanta Legends of the Alliance of American Football in 2018, but he stepped down before the season began.
Now, he'll lead a Spartans team that went 4-8 in 2024 and finished fourth in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) standings.
