The ample investments⁢ by major US technology companies in AI are impacting Wall ⁤Street. The Dow Jones lost 0.2 percent, closing at 47,522 points. The technology-heavy Nasdaq declined by 1.6 percent to 23,581 points, ⁢and the broad⁣ S&P 500 ⁣lost one⁣ percent, finishing at 6822 points.

Meta, Microsoft, and Alphabet presented their quarterly⁢ figures the day before after the stock market closed and continue to announce high investments in ⁢AI infrastructure. "The results of the technology companies have not met high expectations," stated⁢ Lindsey Bell, chief ⁣strategist at 248⁤ Ventures, regarding the results. Furthermore, none of the three companies could articulate "when the investments in artificial intelligence ⁤will pay off."
