KCSO communicates with Santa Claus over broadcast to ensure smooth presents delivery

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) -- The Kern County Sheriff's Office dispatch communicated with Santa Claus over a broadcast as he was preparing to deliver presents to children in Kern County.

They spoke about reports of high levels of milk and cookies in homes and to look out for the Grinch.

Santa Claus: Loud and clear Control One, Ho Ho Ho! North Pole One is ready to roll.

KCSO Dispatch: Santa, all the children of Kern County are snug in their beds with visions of sugar plums fancy in their heads, so you are clear for delivery of presents. Weather conditions are calm, visibility is excellent and Air One is grounded for your route.

Santa Claus: Copy that. I'm in route code with Rudolph's nose lighting the way with the rest of the reindeer squad. The sleigh is pack tighter that an elf workshop after a double shift.

KCSO Dispatch: Santa, be advised, we've had reports of unusually high levels of milk and cookie activity at multiple residences so proceed with caution, especially near the chimneys. We have the deputy elves in route to maintain perimeters.

Santa Claus: 10-4. I have been training with SWAT all month in preparation for tonight. Any specific addresses I should respond to first?

KCSO Dispatch: Affirmative, Santa. We got a nice list confirmation at 123 Candy Cane Lane, 456 Jingle Bell Drive, and 789 Frosty Boulevard. And we recommend expedited delivery.

Santa Claus: Got it Control One, Rudolph and I are locked in on the coordinates. By the way, I may have to double park. I hope I don't end up on Kern County Activities.

KCSO Dispatch: Shouldn't be a problem tonight Santa, it's Christmas. Just watch out for low-hanging tree lights and inflatable snowmen.

Santa Claus: Copy that, one more thing, tell all the deputies to keep an eye out for that Grinch. He's known for trying to steal Christmas.

KCSO Dispatch: 10-4 Santa. Have a safe flight and Merry Christmas from all of us here at Kern County Sheriff's Office dispatch.

Santa Claus: 10-4. Thanks Control One. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night. North Pole One out.
