The governorship aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2026 election in Ekiti State, Otunba Olumuyiwa Babalola, has assured the people of the state that the party will deliver true governance and inclusive leadership if voted into power in next year's poll in the state.

Babalola who restated that the ADC remained the credible alternative, urged the people of the state to support the party to secure victory at the poll.

Babalola made the remarks during a homecoming ceremony in his home town, Ise/Orun Ekiti, where he was received by jubilant party members, loyalists and supporters.

Addressing the large gathering, Babalola

said the carnival-like event "reaffirmed ADC's growing influence across Ekiti State." He added that the procession through the streets of Ise/Orun "symbolised unity and the rising hope of a people determined to chart a new course for Ekiti."

He appealed to the ADC members and supporters to spread the good news of the party's vision for transformation, good governance, and inclusive leadership.

He also charged the citizens to take the crucial step of collecting their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), describing it as the true power of the people. "Without your PVC, you can not exercise your democratic right. This is our time to shape the destiny of Ekiti. Go out, mobilise your neighbours, and let us show that ADC is the future.

"Together, we will deliver a government that serves the people," he declared.

The aspirant said that "his homecoming to Ise/Orun marked a key moment in his statewide consultations, cementing his grassroots connection and underscoring his commitment to building a movement rooted in the people's will.

"The ADC continues to position itself as the credible alternative in Ekiti State, offering leadership anchored on integrity, innovation, and collective progress."
