that the dispute escalated into a physical altercation, after which both entertainers took to Instagram to defend their actions and give their accounts of the incident. The clash led the Directors Guild of Nigeria to establish a Fact-Finding Committee. At the same time, the Actors Guild of Nigeria and the Association of Movie Producers of Nigeria formed their National Disciplinary Committees to investigate the incident. The statement, signed by Queen Ebigieson, AMP's President; Uche Agbo, DGN's President; and Emeka Rollas, AGN's President, further alleged that Arimoro circulated a misleading live video that misrepresented the events and tarnished Ovire's reputation. The guilds clarified that Ovire, who was not present during the initial altercation, alongside the director, production manager, and crew members, bore no responsibility for any wrongdoing. Announcing the sanctions against Arimoro, the guilds stated: "Sanctions against Mr Taiye Arimoro are effective immediately. Taye Arimoro is hereby suspended from all Nollywood productions until further notice. All members of DGN, AGN, and AMP are directed to cease participation in any production involving him immediately. He must issue a public apology on the same live platform previously used to: the Production Manager, Peggy Ovire, and the director on set. "He must release a factual corrective video clearly stating the true sequence of events. He must return to complete the two outstanding scenes for Pieces of Love under safe, supervised conditions. He must comply with all further corrective directives issued by DGN, AGN, and AMP."The guilds clarified that Ovire did not instigate the altercation but reacted emotionally when she followed the actor into the estate. The guilds further explained that Ovire's subsequent behaviour was a response to the assault on her staff. "Therefore, for failing to de-escalate the situation professionally, she must write mandatory letters of apology to all major guilds submitted through AMP -- mandatory written undertaking, ensuring better control of personnel on future sets. "Apology to the estate management where the incident took place. She must sign an undertaking on behalf of her driver, Mr Joshua, pledging he would never become a part of any form of trouble on any movie set ever again", the guilds added. They also emphasised that all practitioners must adhere strictly to the highest standards of professional conduct. "Commencement of a unified Nollywood On-Set Conduct and Safety Code, applicable nationwide. This joint action reflects our collective resolve to protect filmmakers, restore industry order, and safeguard the integrity and reputation of Nollywood."
