Google Play Store Will Save You Time With This New AI Feature

Google has begun rolling out AI-generated review summaries in the Play Store for Android, aiming to help users quickly understand what others are saying about an app without having to read through numerous individual reviews.

The new feature appears as a "Users are saying" section placed above the regular user reviews. Each summary is a single paragraph that highlights the most frequently mentioned positive and negative aspects of the app, as reported by users.

In addition to the summary, Google includes tappable chips, keywords that let users jump directly to relevant reviews discussing those specific points. These chips help streamline the process of finding targeted feedback about a particular feature or issue.

The AI summary only shows up for apps with a sufficient number of reviews, though Google hasn't specified the exact threshold.

While this feature has been in testing for over a year, it is now gradually rolling out. As with many Google features, availability may vary by region and device.

Apple introduced a similar tool in the iOS App Store earlier this year, offering a comparable approach to summarizing user reviews using AI.
