The "Espresso" hitmaker is set to star and produce a new movie based on "Alice in Wonderland" for Universal Pictures, The Hollywood Reporter says.
While details are still unclear, the publication cited sources who said it is a "passion project" for Sabrina, who reportedly approached Universal Pictures about a year ago "with specific ideas and a lookbook."
"Hustlers" writer and director Lorene Scafaria will also write and direct the "Alive in Wonderland" film.
Marc Platt, the top producer behind the Broadway and film productions of "Wicked," is also joining the film.
"Alice in Wonderland" follows the titular character, a young girl who falls down a rabbit hole and into Wonderland, a world of talking animals and other beings. Alice has lots of adventures in Wonderland, including a conflict with the Red Queen.
