D2.2M was spent on Bakau Mini Staduim pavilion - BSC Chair Ousman Cho Drammeh

We have already put a five year development plan to ensure Bakau gets back to its glory days in terms of sports and infrastructure,'' Drammeh said at the official inauguration ceremony of the new pavilion on Sunday.

''This couldn't have been possible without the support of our people in the diaspora and Ministry of Youth and Sports and The Gambia Football Federation."

Drammeh thanked all corporate institutions and individuals who patronized Bakau Sports Committee, naming Sheriff Bojang of The standard Newspaper as one of them.

''We are very grateful to them. This is a significant achievement in the history of Bakau . We are happy to establish structures like this at the Bakau Mini Stadium,'' Drammeh said.

Minister of Youth and Sports, Bakary Y. Badjie, commended Bakau Sports Committee Chairman Ousman Cho Drammeh and his committee for this very successful project.

He pointed out that infrastructure for sports development in the country such as football, basketball, volleyball and others can never grow without proper infrastructures.

CEO Mannasi Architect and Construction, Omar Barrow, revealed that they were happy to officially hand over this beautiful pavilion to the Bakau Sports Committee.

Barrow said the project represents another milestone in their journey as a company, disclosing it is the third pavilion they have successfully built and delivered to a sports committee in the country.

''We at Mannasi are deeply grateful to Bakau Sports Committee for entrusting us with this project. Our expertise has allowed us to contribute meaningfully to sports infrastructural development in The Gambia,'' Barrow said.

Barrow reaffirmed their commitment to quality, professionalism and excellence in every project.

''I hope this facility would serve generations of athletes, inspire new talents and continue to strengthen the spirit of sports in Bakau and beyond,'' Barrow expressed.
