Pokemon Legends: Z-A Player Makes Horrible Mistake With Their Shiny Pumpkaboo

Pokemon Legends: Z-A Player Makes Horrible Mistake With Their Shiny Pumpkaboo

A Pokemon Legends: Z-A has made a massive mistake by giving away their Shiny Pumpkaboo during the Jumbo Variety Pumpkaboo side mission. Given the rarity of Shinies in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, this sort of mistake is sure to cause tons of frustration for the affected player.

In the Jumbo Variety Pumpkaboo side mission in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, players are required to hand over a Jumbo Variety Pumpkaboo to Taille in North Boulevard. It's a simple mission - players can catch this Pokemon at Wild Zone 15. However, the game does not differentiate between regular and Shiny Pumpkaboo for this quest, which means that any player who skips through the dialogue rapidly can easily make a very annoying mistake.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A Player Gives Away Shiny Pumpkaboo During Jumbo Variety Pumpkaboo

One Redditor has already fallen foul of this issue, giving away their Shiny Pumpkaboo during Jumbo Variety Pumpkaboo. According to the player, they "didn't know she keeps it," and only noticed when they swapped their Pokemon Legends: Z-A party around later to see the spot empty. They remained in good spirits and could see the humor in the situation, pointing out that "at least I have this picture."

Many players in the thread pointed out the importance of slowing down and reading the dialogue, as there are several instances in Pokemon Legends: Z-A where NPCs ask to either borrow or keep Pokemon. Another user joked that "I'm starting to think that you guys do this for internet points." Luckily, there are plenty of Shiny hunting locations in Pokemon Legends: Z-A if the Redditor really wants to go get their Pumpkaboo back in their party.

In the early days of Pokemon Legends: Z-A, it seems that many players are making these types of errors leading to a loss of a Pokemon. For example, some Pokemon Legends: Z-A players are accidentally releasing the game's only blue Vivillon, leading to some serious regret. Perhaps if more players keep making frustrating errors like this on a regular basis, Game Freak could consider adding in some more hand-holding measure to help them avoid this kind of thing.
