BROOKFIELD, Conn. (WFSB) - Emergency crews responded to a structure fire Brookfield on Saturday morning.

According to the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company, at around 6 a.m. firefighters were deployed to the scene of Brookfield Meadows for reports of a structure fire.

When crews arrived they found a well-involved garage fire that was expanding to a residence.

Officials said residents were able to leave the home with no injuries.

With the help of multiple area fire departments, the fire was knocked down a few hours later.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
