Texas lawmakers have already filed about two thousand bills ahead of the 2025 legislative session. The filing process will continue until the session ends in June.
Bills already filed include measures about voter integrity, education reform, a minimum wage hike, raising the age to buy a semi-automatic rifle, and strengthening the grid.
Any legislator can file a bill, but few of them end up becoming law. It's hard to say which bills will have priority in the House, since the speaker hasn't been elected yet.
