Although actress Ada Choi (蔡少芬) and Max Zhang (張晉) are envied for long 17-years of marriage, it is rumored that the couple has hit bumpy grounds amid speculation of marriage discord.

Rumors of trouble first emerged when Ada was spotted meeting up with her friends, Catherine Yan (洪欣) and Monica Chan (陳法蓉) and was later spotted walking alone with her children in a shopping mall. The rumors compounded when Ada sent a flower basket for Bob Lam's (林盛斌) comedy show without including Max's name, even though many other celebrity couples included their spouse's name in their gifts.

Ada had also admitted that her relationship is not as loving as it had been perceived publicly. In an online stream, Ada shared, "We are not doing as well as what outsiders believe. There was a time period when I cried a lot."

The actress added that when she lived in Shanghai for two years during the global pandemic, Max often left home for long period for work while Ada took care of her three children on her own. This made Ada felt as if she didn't even have a husband and made her wish that she had someone she could rely on.

Ada also revealed that she experienced the greatest disappointment on her birthday when she expected Max would come home to celebrate. Unfortunately, the plan fell through after Max got sick and Ada ended up going to the park to cry to herself.
