Arkansas lands Christmas Day transfer from ex-Mizzou WR Courtney Crutchfield

Arkansas was unable to land Courtney Crutchfield coming out of high school. However, the former elite recruit from within the state is now back on his way to the Razorbacks for the 2025 season.

On Christmas Day, Arkansas confirmed that Crutchfield has signed with Sam Pittman and the Razorbacks in the transfer portal. Crutchfield began his career at Mizzou and was once one of the best players out of Arkansas in the 2024 recruiting class.

Crutchfield starred at Pine Bluff High School prior to college and received SEC interest from Mizzou, Arkansas and Auburn, among others. He was rated as the No. 100 overall player for the 2024 recruiting class the No. 2 prospect out of Arkansas per the 247 Sports Composite.

Crutchfield did not register any stats as a true freshman, and he will have a chance to carve out a role with the Razorbacks in 2025. He joins a transfer recruiting class for the Razorbacks that features 16 players and a core group of receivers.

O'Mega Blake (Charlotte), Kam Shanks (UAB), and Raylen Sharpe (Fresno State) are other collegiate receivers to transfer to Arkansas this cycle. We'll see if Crutchfield can carve out early playing time in his first season back in his home state.
