MOODY - The mayor and council approved a right-of-way access, along with a tax abatement agreement, for a company that will not only provide economic benefits to the city and school system, but also environmental benefits for those who live near the Star Ridge Landfill.

"It's really going to be beneficial to the city, definitely going to be beneficial to the school system, and also saving that methane from being released, and I think going a long way of just making things environmentally better," said Don Smith, the executive director for the St. Clair County Economic Development Council, before city officials unanimously approved the agreements to bring Vision RNG to the city.
