A new high-tier fishing rod is now available for dedicated anglers. The Fabulous Rod offers exceptional stats and unique passive abilities. The quest chain is challenging but rewarding. It requires a significant time investment and a high player level.
You must first travel to the Calm Zone in Mariana's Veil. Use your submarine to navigate to this area. The Fabulous Deity NPC is positioned on a bridge there.
Precise GPS coordinates are -4303, -11003, 3655. Interacting with the deity begins the multi-stage questline. You must be at least level 1000 to start.
The quests involve catching a series of rare and common fish. Each completed task unlocks the next stage. You must accept the quest before the required fish catches will count.
The first quest, "Fabulous Beginning," asks for two Shiny Sparkling Handfish and one Sunken Mutated Shark. You also need one Sparkling Nova Frozen Walnut.
The second quest, "Fabulous Findings," increases the difficulty. It requires 200 Dumbo Octopus, one Sunken Ancient Depth Serpent, and one Shiny Rainbow Cluster Voltfish.
"Fabulous Torment," the third quest, demands three Sunken Spectral Serpents. You also need 50 Baby Pond Emperor and one Sparkling Sunken Brine Phantom.
The final quest, "Fabulous Finale," is the most difficult. It requires a Shiny Rainbow Cluster Crystallized Seadragon and a Sunken Scylla. You must also return a Shiny Mosaic Whale Shark to the deity.
The rod's stats make it one of the best available. It boasts 100% Lure Speed, 500% Luck, and 50% Resilience. Its maximum weight capacity is effectively infinite.
A significant trade-off is its complete lack of Control. This results in a wider, more challenging fishing minigame bar. The rod's passives help compensate for this weakness.
Its unique ability provides a 25% chance to "Stab" every 0.25 seconds. A successful stab grants a 1.5% progress boost. After three stabs, it temporarily gains +0.2 Control and +100% forced Progress Speed.
It also gives caught fish a 26% chance for a "Fabulous" mutation. This multiplies the fish's value by 13.5 times. This makes the rod exceptionally good for earning in-game currency.
