Jaguars completed second GM interview with Packers' Jon-Eric Sullivan

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced on Thursday that they've completed their second interview for their general manager opening with Packers VP of Player Personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan.

The Jaguars initially interviewed 10 GM candidates last week virtually and then named five finalists that they are interviewing for the role this week in person.

Along with Sullivan, the Jaguars have also interviewed Ian Cunningham and Josh Williams a second time.

Sullivan has been in the Packers' organization since 2003, working both on the college and pro scouting sides of the operation.

He's held his current title since 2022 and has worked closely with Green Bay GM Brian Gutekunst.

Of course, getting the quarterback position right helps when fielding a good team, but the Packers draft-and-develop approach that they adhere to has served them quite well over the years.

This includes recently as the Packers transitioned from Aaron Rodgers to Jordan Love and, in the process, became the youngest team in football for the last two seasons while still making the playoffs, and getting a playoff win, during that span as well.

Still to interview for the job is Jaguars interim GM Ethan Waugh and Rams Director of scouting James Gladstone.

The interviews will conclude on Friday and the Jaguars are expected to make a decision over the weekend prior to the NFL combine beginning next week.
