CLEVELAND, Ohio - Singer-songwriter-guitarist Vince Gill is taking time off from his duties playing with The Eagles to embark on a summer tour with his own band. Gill will bring his octet to the Connor Palace at Playhouse Square on Saturday, August 2, for "An Evening With Vince Gill." Tickets for the show are $59.75 - $159.75 and go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 21, at playhousesquare.com.
Gill, a 22-time Grammy winner, has spent much of the past eight years as a hired hand and voice touring with The Eagles ,who have settled into a long run (pun intended) at the Sphere in Las Vegas. But the current run ends in April allowing Gill to hit the road, in part, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the start of his career in music.
According to setlist.fm Gill hasn't headlined a show in Cleveland since a 2005 stop at The Palace Theatre. Gill has released five albums since then including the platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated "These Days" and his most recent solo album, "Okie," from 2019, so longtime fans should expect a varied set list.
