A New Jersey doctor accused of celebrating the killing of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk no longer works for Englewood Health.

The hospital said a nurse who took exception to her colleague's alleged sentiments will remain on the job.

Nurse Lexi Kuenzle filed a lawsuit against Jung and their employer last week after Dr. Matthew Jung cheered "and publicly praised" news of Kirk being fatally shot while speaking on a Utah college campus last week.

According to Kuenzle, her colleague said "I'm glad, he deserved it," in a public area used by nurses and patients, then offered to buy the department lunch to make amends for his comment.

"This 'DOCTOR' is a disgrace," Kuenzle raged on Instagram, where she makes her pro-MAGA position clear.

Kuenzle alleged that hospital administrators indicated she would endure consequences for bringing the matter to human resource workers. Englewood Health said in a statement sent to the Daily News that isn't the case.

"Consistent with protocol and best practices, Englewood Health diligently investigated the Sept. 10 incident that occurred between a doctor and a nurse in a patient care area. We have accepted the physician's resignation, and the nurse is expected to work her scheduled shifts. The nurse was never fired; was never told she would be fired by Englewood Hospital; and will not miss any pay as part of our review of this matter. Englewood Health is committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for all," the hospital said.

Kirk was killed with a single shot to his neck Wednesday at Utah Valley University where he was preaching conservative ideology at his American Comeback Tour.
