Potential top seven AFL draftee Harvey Langford has revealed the uncertainty around the upcoming AFL Draft.

The talented midfielder is tipped to be selected in the pick three-to-eight range in Wednesday's first-round after impressing with Vic Metro and Dandenong Stingrays in 2024.

This means the 18-year-old will likely lob at one of Adelaide, Carlton, Melbourne and St Kilda and Richmond - with those clubs holding picks in the likely range of Langford's selection.

However, Langford explained that the AFL clubs who could select him hadn't let much slip during pre-draft interviews.

This includes Richmond, who Langford supports, with the Tigers holding picks 1, 6 and 10 among seven first-round selections.

"It's been a bit confusing over the last couple months to who likes me most in the top six-or-seven range," Langford told SEN.

"There is obviously Crows (Adelaide), Carlton, Melbourne, St Kilda and even Richmond [who I could go to].

"To be honest, I've got no idea who's [going to pick me up].

"I think they are all interested in a way but they haven't given away too much - which is a little bit annoying coming up the draft.

"To be honest, it's sort of pretty confusing. Richmond aren't giving much away at all really."

With Adelaide's interest meaning Victorian-based Langford could be set for a move to South Australia, the midfield talent decided not to follow the lead of 2020 draftee Archie Perkins and state he would prefer to remain in home state.

"Yeah I would be happy to move interstate. Obviously it would be a big change," he said.

"I think Adelaide is the only option for that to occur but I guess that would be pretty exciting and nerve-racking at the same time.

"It's big leap in your life, moving out at the age of 18-or-19, but that's one of the challenges that can come along the way."
