Flintbeetles aren't your average bugs -- they're mini-bosses that make every hunt a test of awareness and platforming skill. To start, you must trigger the "Volatile Flintbeetles" side quest at the Wishwell in Bone Bottom. Only then will Flintbeetles spawn across The Marrow region.

After activating the quest, three Flintbeetles will hide in fixed corners of The Marrow, but the game won't provide direct map markers. Use Flintbeetle dung piles scattered around the area -- interacting with these triggers a scent trail pointing to each beetle's lair. Move quickly, as the trail fades if delayed.

Clear hostile bugs before chasing the scent so combat won't get interrupted. Expect aggressive spin and fireball moves when the fight starts.
