The game designations have been revealed for the Seattle Seahawks' huge Week 15 primetime matchup with the Green Bay Packers. Unsurprisingly, having failed to practice all week, running back Kenneth Walker III has been ruled doubtful with a calf injury sustained in the Week 13 win over the New York Jets.
Walker's likely absence means Zach Charbonnet, who's coming off a career-best 134 yards rushing against the Arizona Cardinals, will be the primary back yet again versus a good Packers run defense. Cornerback Artie Burns and offensive tackle Stone Forsythe, both of whom haven't actually come off IR onto the active roster yet, have also been declared doubtful. The initial injury report (which will be shown below) had Forsythe out with a hand injury, but he's been upgraded to doubtful.
The four Seahawks who won't be playing on Sunday night are cornerback Tre Brown, safety Jerrick Reed II, tight end Brady Russell, and safety K'Von Wallace (who's also been recently designated for return to practice while still on IR).
No one has been declared questionable, so the Seahawks will most likely have four active roster played unavailable due to injury, while none of the "designated for return" players will be back.
Mike Macdonald did say of Brady Russell and Jerrick Reed II, "We'll see on those two guys, maybe make an announcement here in the next day or two on those guys." So it could be a sign that at least one of those two is heading for IR.
The biggest absence for the Packers is All-Pro corner Jaire Alexandre, who remains out with a knee injury. Rookie safety Javon Bullard is also out with an ankle injury, while tight end Luke Musgrave isn't ready to return from his injury.
