Organic coffee shop to open soon at fast-growing housing estate

A planning application from Esquires Coffee was approved last month in relation to the Kingsgrove area in Wantage.

The development, which already has hundreds of people living in it, is set to have up to 1,600 homes as well as a new primary school and employment spaces.

In addition, a community centre will include a convenience store, retail spaces, a central park, a sports pavilion, community gardens, play areas and a skate park, all of which are edging closer.

Indeed, there is already a large, new Co-op supermarket among the houses and now that is set to be joined by the new coffee shop.

Although not yet officially confirmed, Esquires Coffee had a planning application to put in shopfront signage approved.

This will be at 3, Kingsgrove Neighbourhood Centre, along Rutherford Road near to the Co-op.

Esquires Coffee's webpage currently lists its new Wantage store as 'coming soon'.

The coffee chain - which was founded in 1993 in Canada - has over 100 stores across the United Kingdom and Ireland.

It prides itself on ethical coffee, only serving organic and Fairtrade coffee that ensures farmers are paid fairly.

Its cups are fully compostable and 100 per cent recyclable and it offers freshly made breakfast, lunch or brunch, alongside its coffee, ethically sourced teas, real fruit smoothies, shakes and more.

Esquires Coffee has been approached for comment.
