Sheriff: Man threatened to blow up sheriff's office in Rankin County

BRANDON, Miss. (WTVA) -- A man allegedly threatened to blow up a sheriff's office in central Mississippi.

Joshua Pace called the Rankin County Sheriff's Office approximately 20 times on Wednesday, Dec. 18 and Thursday, Dec. 19 and threatened the dispatchers and threatened to destroy the building, the sheriff's office announced.

Investigators identified him as the caller and arrested him.

They discovered he is out on parole for elder abuse, the sheriff's office announced.
