CLEVELAND -- If there's one thing we've learned about the Cleveland Guardians in 2025, it's that they refuse to be normal.
The AL Central champion Guardians, who on Sunday pulled off the largest comeback in baseball history by storming back from 15 1/2 games behind Detroit, have made "chaos" a key part of their brand. When one thinks "Guards ball," they're typically picturing multi-run comebacks via bloopers and bunts, the walk-off walks, walk-off hit-by-pitches, etc.
Here's a new one.
With the division already clinched, the Guardians were down 8-6 in extra innings against the Texas Rangers in the regular season finale when Brayan Rocchio ripped a three-run homer off the right field foul pole to walk it off in the 10th inning.
